"Rodeo" Bill is a hard-nosed, fun-loving cowboy who likes a lot of action and will go out of his way to create some if things are going too dull to suit him. He attends a circus/wild west show and stirs up some trouble with both the locals and the troupers but, after seeing Ruth Henson, the daughter of the show's operator/owner, he decides to join up and travel with the circus. He also manges to take care of some trouble not of his doing.

Jack Duffy had two skills that helped make him the lead in a nice series of short comedies in the 1920s: the usual ability to take one of the bone-breaking falls that slapstick called for and the ability to make himself up as an old coot, which gave him a nice character and made the pratfalls more impressive. In this one he manages to get himself tangled up coming down the pole at the fire station -- very amusing.

The story involves various misunderstandings and entanglements that occur between two married couples, the Browns (Glenn Tryon & Vivien Oakland) and the Dazzles (Tyler Brooke & Anita Garvin). The two couples have apartments across the hall from one another, and all four plan to attend a costume ball together. But after each husband expresses unhappiness with his wife's costume the women angrily refuse to go to the party. The two husbands decide to go "stag" and pick up dates, but when Mrs. Brown changes her mind about attending, and Mr. Dazzle and Mr. Brown switch costumes, mix-ups result.

Henry is expecting the new cook and when Sally, his wife's sister, appears, he immediately shows her the kitchen and orders her to serve food. When Henry's wife learns this she fears to present him as her husband, commands him to masquerade as the butler and calls in a friend to pose as her husband. The "butler" puts soap into the soup with the result that the sister-in-law and the other man become ill. When fire breaks out in the house the sister-in-law is trapped in her room and Bill thinks the terrible heat he feels is the result of fever from his illness. The fire brings on a climax in which the fire department performs and a series of hilarious gags are introduced.

The noblewoman at first refuses, but when her money runs out, she agrees to the proposal and attends a party at his home. Ned, who has learned of the divorce, comes looking for Helen and meets her at Solomon's party. Lady Helen is so humiliated and ashamed that she rushes from the house and throws herself in front of an automobile.

She becomes a spy and provides valuable intelligence information during World War I by winning the confidence of a German officer. Hugh Warren is the American soldier who falls for Olympe. Then she takes Therese there and introduces her to manly Petit Mathieu, one of the racers (Maurice B. Flynn). Since he has just quarreled with his sweetheart, Lea (Jetta Goudal), he is glad to have Therese's attention and offers to run away with her after he wins the six-day race. Lea, meanwhile, is spending her time with Edmond. Therese eventually decides she doesn't care for brutes like Mathieu, and Edmond gains a temper and wins his wife back. Lea and Mathieu are reunited, while Isabelle goes back to helping her own alcoholic sweetheart, Igor (Raymond Griffith), break into the movies.
