The situation changes with the appearance of Ferico, an old school friend of Dewi, who continues to pursue her after his divorce. Both Dayan and Dewi finally return to their partners. Director Arifin chooses a “poetic” style of telling the story so that the storyline follows the internal conflicts of the characters. The poetry is also characterized by slick photography.

The most intriguing part is his wish to have a harmonica, a new instrument that he has never seen before.

Iwan, a friendly and sympathetic guy, rides his motorcycle, and they soon develop an intimate and playful relationship. There are also others such as the shy Hendro, and the disheveled and free-spirited Tari. The drama concerns some conflict between Iwan and his father, and also Narti’s parents’ attitude toward Iwan. The film highlights the young social life on campus and the appeal is in the fresh dialogue, which is sometimes critical.
