Ramin Yazdani (born July 20, 1952, in Isfahan, Iran) is an Iranian-German actor and director. Ramin Yazdani grew up in Iran, where he gained his first theatrical experiences as a teenager. After studying economics, theater studies, acting, and film in the United States, he initially returned to Iran before moving to Germany in 1985. In Hamburg, he founded the Persian Theater in 1991 and the Festival of Iranian Theater in 1995; he also worked at venues including the Deutsches Schauspielhaus, the Thalia Theater, the Hamburg State Opera, and Kampnagel. In addition to his work as a director, he realized numerous independent theater projects. Since the early 1990s, Yazdani has appeared regularly in film and television productions.
