A Light Into A Void
After discovering eleven Hi-8 tapes recorded by his late father, filmmaker Lin Chen uses his father’s original DV camera to recover their fragile images and sounds. Interweaving this family archive with 16mm and Super 8 footage, the film explores grief, memory, and the ways recording media preserve and reshape the past.
